John R. Smith, 58, and his wife, Ollie Mae, 53, died Monday night when their car collided with a tractor-trailer truck on U.S. 67, at the Butler and Wayne County line
Highway patrolmen said Smith apparently lost control of his car and it skidded into the path of the truck. The patrol said Smith and his wife were alone in the car.
The Truck Driver, Jesse Vernon Hester, 43, of Qulin, Missouri, was uninjured.
